This is quite possibly my favorite restaurant in the country with gluten-free options. Growing up in Houston, barbque was a staple in my diet and one that was greatly missed when I was first diagnosed with celiac disease. Since becoming a GFRAP restaurant, my husband and I have eaten at this location at least once a month and have never had any issues with cross contamination. The staff is excellent and has always been willing to accommodate large parties that are gluten-free. We have held bridal showers and baby showers that were completely gluten-free in the seperate dining room that is available. When you arrive at the restaurant go to the cashier to ask for the gluten-free menu and as you walk through the line tell the staff that you are a gluten-free diner and the staff will get a fresh cutting board, slab of meat, clean the knife and change their gloves. My favorite option here is the chopped beef stuffed potato. It has always been a favorite of mine since I was a child. It is a baked potato stuffed with chopped brisket, cheese, sour cream, butter, bacon, chives and topped with barbque sauce.
